Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
More questions? See our full FAQ page or call (289) 216-5030.
How does mosquito barrier spray work?
Adult mosquitoes spend the day resting in shade: under leaves, in shrubs, hedges and dense plantings. BuzzSkito applies a residual insecticide to those resting areas, so mosquitoes that land on treated surfaces contact the product. How long each treatment keeps working depends on the product label, rain and plant growth, which is why season plans re-treat on a set schedule.
Is the spray safe for children and pets?
Every treatment is applied by a licensed operator (Ontario Pesticide Operator Licence L-240-2436835197), following the product label directions. Keep children and pets inside during the treatment, and keep everyone off treated areas until the spray has dried, as the label directs. If you want to read the label before you book, ask us for the product name and its PCP registration number.
How long does a mosquito treatment last?
It varies with rain, heat and how fast your plants grow, so we don't promise a fixed number of days. Season plans (May–September) re-treat on a schedule instead: Basic is 5 sprays, monthly ($549); Standard is 10 sprays, every 2 weeks ($994, most popular); Exclusive is 20+ sprays, weekly ($2,049). Tick plans are 5 sprays per season. Prices are plus HST.
What if it rains after the treatment?
Rain within 1 hour of your treatment? We come back and re-treat free, on every plan.
Do you need to be home during the service?
No. As long as our technician has access to your outdoor areas, we can complete the treatment without you home. We book a visit window, never an exact arrival time. After the service you get a confirmation email with a full treatment log.
What areas does BuzzSkito serve?
BuzzSkito serves Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, and Hamilton, plus surrounding GTA communities. Call (289) 216-5030 to confirm service availability at your address.
